The only language some youths understand is "I want a Job", yet quite a number of them are unwilling to maximize self-development opportunities that can strategically position them for gainful employment.
I get truly pained when I see many job seekers waste precious time under the excuse of being unemployed. Even people who work Monday to Saturday still find time to invest in themselves What then is your excuse?
Imagine how much you will acquire if you spend half of the 8-10 hours your colleagues spend at work daily developing yourself. I know that you badly need a job, but the job you seek will not come and meet you where you sit idle.
So, how are you adding value to yourself? Are you better today than you were yesterday? Do you use your data to develop yourself, or you only follow celebrity gossips online? Being unemployed is not an excuse to waste your time. The competition is high for the few jobs available. Stand out, Read books, Take industry related online courses, Join a youth advocacy group Volunteer for causes you are passionate about; Seek internship opportunities. Attend a free networking and educational event.
Whatever you do, just step up your game.
